The very stylish man in the image above is looking quite dapper in his sports coat and slacks; however, what sets this outfit apart is his ability to pull off the loafers-and-no-socks look.
Men around the world try to do this daily, but their outfit often does not have the stylish effect for which they hoped.
With spring just around the corner, now is the time to perfect your men's fashion summer 2017 look and try going sockless. Whether you have tried to go sockless or you have been too scared to try, here are three tips to going sockless to ensure you do it right.
Show people you did it on purpose
There is a big difference between showing off your ankles and rocking pants meant for flood season. When trying to pull this off, it is important not just to wear pants that are too short in length.
The key to a strong sockless look is properly cuffed pants. Whether you are wearing jeans, khakis or slacks, simply roll the cuff of your pants with two small rolls. If you are going for a bit more casual look, consider wearing joggers.
Though the Instagram image looks good, the man in the picture is wearing pants that are too short, which looks good in a photo, but in real life, just looks awkward.
Always cuff your pants, and you will already look more stylish.
Wear the right shoes
Let’s get straight to the point. There is nothing fashionable about a pair of dirty, old sneakers. The only way to truly pull off the sockless look without looking foolish is with a nice pair of loafers.
As can be seen in the image above, loafers are slip-on shoes featuring a flat bottom or a small heel. These shoes are both stylish and straightforward, which make them the perfect companion for a fashionable sockless outfit.
You will never look or feel stylish if you are not willing to take risks. Some risks will be worth it, and others will not; however, you do it to look good.
If you are stepping out for the first time with no socks on, just do you. Be confident.
